its been 2 yrs mummy... how have you been?

are you happy spending time with god and with papa up there? are they treating you good? do u get to enjoy ur mother's day meal up there?

you know, i opened shop today, and saw families walking past. most of my customers came with their mums looking for clothes for them. i saw that sight and realised that i really miss celebrating mother's day with you, treating you to a meal you'll like, giving you something to let u knoe i haven't forgotten.

i remember that we celebrated our last mother's day in Westin's equinox restaurant. We hated the food, but just wanted to re-experience the view from high above.

u knoe mie... i really loved you alot. even more so now... i miss ur cooking, ur nagging, just basically your presence in the house. i miss the screaming matches we used to have, the fights with hangers which takes place right after a bad quarrel. the tv surfing we used to do together and the crazy shopping sprees which we seldom ever take. most of all, i miss home exactly how u left it.

i'm sorry mummy for not spending enough time with you when i was younger, not listening to you when you could still be there, not heeding ur advice when u were so concerned for my well being. you always told me ' wait till i die and no one will take care of you then u knoe!' i remember that all so vividly mummy... i miss u soooo much.

its freaking polling day. been hearing rallies from http://singaporeelection.blogspot.com , http://electionrally.blogspot.com and http://www.yawningbread.org (though i wasn't personally there). Worker's Party; or WP in short sounds convincing enough. Definitely sounds better than PAP, not for wat they are dangling, but for wat they can do. Voices in Parliament, i definitely want that man. Haha. Excited, excited. I wanna see who will win. Damnit, though i know its near impossible, i hope WP wins the Amk seat... hahaha... i wanna see LHL's face screw up. Damn u arrogant face! Oh, and Aljunied GRC, WP better win, else i will faint.

Kind of hate the way PAP is playing politics and trying all ways and means to get voters to vote for them. Dangling a huge carrot for the hougang GRC and putting down opposition saying that they've no funds to dangle. WTF, wat are taxpayers paying their money for man? So next time, only PAP supporters pay tax can liao la! Opposition supporters wat for pay? Pay also no upgrading, don't pay la. Shit man. Wtf, first you have a case of under 21s not treated like Singaporeans, then now we have selective upgrading for PAP GRCs only cause PAP was voted in at those GRCs. Blardy unfair.

Fark, if i could blardy vote, PAP definitely will not be getting my vote. Shit holes.

more than a week ago on april 10th, i celebrated my 21st birthday. it was memorable; and not for the wrong reasons.

Itinery for the day-

part one ::
spent time with family at Amara Hotel @ Tanjong Pagar; had buffet lunch.

everyone who had kids brought their kids! I also want kids! i wan i wan! so cute... Praise Jie brought along lil naughty timmy boy and baby erika... timmy was soo cute walking alongside Joel pointing to things which he wants to eat, at the same time shaking his head and saying nono when he sees something he doesn't like. Erika had such HUGE eyes... i wan i wan... Kee Meng and Sheena brought along their new bundle of joy... Baby Elouise. A small cute lil thing. (will get her pics up soon.)

after lunch, it was meeting up with my beautiful girlfriends :)

part two::

met up with the girls and updated each other on our daily life. its been awhile since we last met. A better word would be ages. or even centuries ( ok, nt tht long.. but still, u get what i mean). Met up with angi and sammie girl at orchard, followed by peilin and jingyi lateron in the night. Oh, and Jy's bf - Yuhao (or Mr Oyster) came along too. Meiling... was... as usual. MISSING IN ACTION again. for the second year. But wells, i have my beautiful girls and they're more than enough.

wei joined us after her shift ended at 11pm...

it was a terrifying drive up Mount faber. No, it wasn't fear of heights which got me terrified. it wasn't that i cant control my car that i was terrified. it was the fact tht my petrol tank was blinking empty which terrified the hell out of me. i have no one to blame. i was lazy. lazy to u-turn and head to a petrol station before climbing up the 'mountain' with a carload of girls. Lesson learnt.

Altivo bar is more than what i ever imagined. the plush lounge chairs, the beautiful night scenery, the helpful staff and of course not forgetting the wonderful company i have is something i more than bargained for. Everything just seems so puurfect~ the drinks looked delicious enough to eat, the cake... it was simply splendid, for lack of a better word.

presents i received are tastefully chosen. it was all a huge surprise. i love it~! haha... :)

all in all, the night was well spent with good people and nice food with nice view. love everything. love. love. love.

will leave whatever's unsaid to the peektures. they tell more than a thousand words.

thought me. i mean, my house is like... a warehouse in the literal sense. its so messy u can barely find something u want in 5 mins. (ok, i'm exagerating). i'm so freakin' tired. or shacked out, to say the least. opened my shop till nearly 11pm yesterday. good and bad i must say, for finally theres a lil crowd to work with. bad cause it made me tired. Sammie girl and her friends dropped by yesterday, contributing to my sales. :)

seriously, i dun think i've got that many things to say. sometimes, i even wonder why the hell do i even kip a blog. wat for? when i've got so lil to say, not much to update about my life. i live in this vicious cycle' - sleep, wake up, bathe, drive to work, open shop, entertain my customers, close shop, head home, bathe, then sleep again. how boring can that get? sigh. can someone please come and inject some excitement into my life again? maybe i should return to the clubbing scene again - thats the only thing i can do at night which is 'entertaining' in some sense of the word. or should i?

but to hell with it. i hate smoke. i don't drink, and don't particularly like loud music. not really possible huh? think i'll stay home and read and try boring myself to death.

oh. guess what. the day when i got bac to singapore (Wednesday), i wenta DFS at changi airport terminal 1... and bought a clinique foundation. Ok, this may sound like nonsense to many of you out there, but guess what, my close frens know tht i hate putting make up or even anything on my face besides lip balm. haha. how weird is that. can go buy 4d already!

hung out with peilin and the rest of the girls the day before when they dropped by my shop. wenta breko to have a few drinks and a round of chit chatting - something we haven been doing in a lon long while. everyone's been busy with their own life. JY's a nurse, so she has to tolerate crazy shift hours on end. wei's working in the hotel industry, hence the shift hours or weird shifts as well. PL's working in the media industry, so she shares the same problem with the first 2. the rest are kinda free but seldom meet up cause they're all busy. and me? what can i say? i work more or less fixed hours, but super long hours. i stay in my shop and do not even see the sun go down the horizon.

to think about it, i think i kinda miss sitting down at the stone near the beach at East coast and watching the sun come up and go down. its been a long time. (sounds nostalgic - which really is).

its march 10, a month to my birthday. somehow i have this strange feeling that i'll be away in some country on that day. sigh. is this my life?

haha... okay. lame... am staying in samran place hotel (low budget) ; i like the service here.. staff extremely friendly... and readily accessible from nearly everywhere... :)

its been awhile. yea, i knoe a blog's for blogging... but heck, been too lazy to type in stuff after my holidays and weeks of slacking away...

a look at whats happening recently..

1. School's started for me - @ ITC School of Laws, Burlington Square, Office Tower, 12th storey... doing a LLB in Law from University of London. School's 4 days a week, tuesday to fridays, at 2 hours/day, 2 - 4 pm.

"Oei, u knoe u can't practice over here in Singapore with that hell of a degree right?"

"Yea, i know... Cannot practice in Singapore... cause of tht stupid government policy. But hell, I dun intend to anyway, its just my interest in reading it. Did up my research on my degree btw, and its a 2nd lower to practise in all other commonwealth countries except here."

"Then what do you / can you work as when you graduate?"

"I'll think of it when it comes to then."

So till then... 3 years from now.

2. Qian and Shawn (Tan) off to 'Tekong Fitness' - yes, they've gone on to what Qian calls 'Tekong Fitness' (named due to an incident outside Cityhall MRT one day) on 03-05-2005. Happy BMT-ing and enjoy ur new haircut guys...

3. I'm becoming a pro-Malaysia and anti-Singapore stuff kinda girl. Why?
Because i go to Malaysia to:-

- Pump cheap petrol into my 1.3 Litre baby
- Buy cheap pirated VCDs/DVDs to feed my craving for shows which are overpriced
- Give my baby a good clean wash at only RM8 + vacuum
- Have dinner consisting 6-8 dishes (mostly seafood) for about $15 per person

Now, you see why.

4. Baby's due for her 45000km maintenance - But her owner, yours truly, has yet to go make n appointment for that.

this weeks' should NOTs:

i) NOT go to the stupid IT show. - Super duper crowded, worse than the feeling of packed sardines + bad parking system @ the EXPO.
ii) NOT have so much supper; makes me fat (Though i already am)
iii) NOT sleep so much (like a pig) - but this can't be helped; cause i have occasional insomnia and cant get to sleep at night
v) will this list ever end? apparently not.... Not with all the sins.. haha

Things to look forward to:

: Graduation on 15-07-2005. 3pm. Temasek Convention Centre. - The day has FINALLY come.

:: School, when it starts again on tuesday

::: Tioman trip; end of June.

::::Bangkok Trip; end of July.

just got a message from Anji girl... saying that we're gonna be meeting up tomorrow... the 5 of us... ML and Sam won't be joining in... i supposed they've got things to attend to... and guess what? it'll be my place tmr!! for dinner... :) yum yum. the cook, shall be..... yours truly... :)

hmm... i'm deliberating between chinese and western right now.. but definitely not pasta... kinda sick of the italian staple. sick sick sick sick sick. what shall i cook? my specialty chicken wings which they enjoy so much? or wat? haha... this is weird, why am i acting like Anji girl, getting all excited? haha...

Decided to go on an all out tour of various countries after my last paper on the 24th of Mar...

1st destination: Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
With: Sally, JieLin, Kherwei, JiaHui, YenTing, Gwyneth, Mel Leong, Fabs, Aaron, Zacky & Darryl.
When: 28th Mar - 31st Mar 2005
For: All out shopping and walking.

It was my 1st MAJOR trip out with the abovementioned people. Why MAJOR? cause there are 12 of us. a HUGE number to travel together with. we took up nearly an entire bus, shook it all up and thrashed it all out.. thats the best description i can give. the rest have to be left to your imagination.
